On 28 March 2009, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, described events from his recent visit to the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahma-Sthan* of India.

Dr Morris began by showing slides of six houses being built in the Brahma-Sthan as temporary homes for Rajas, Ministers, and other Global Country of World Peace leaders. 'As Maharishi Mahesh Yogi said in his address to the Rajas on 12 January 2008, ''[India] should be the place from which to function,'' recalled Dr Morris. Major construction for the houses is complete; they are still in need of finishing touches such as fittings, fixtures, and furnishing. 'These are very good buildings,' he continued, 'surrounded by magnificent trees—including a giant mango grove—and a pond to the east.' The buildings, which are just over the hill from where the Maharishi Vedic Pandits reside, will house up to 12 Rajas or Ministers at one time.

Dr Morris went on to describe his experience of sitting with Maharishi Vedic Pandits in their hall as they performed a special Vedic ceremony in honour of Total Knowledge on the first of day of Spring, celebrated in India as Vasant Panchami. 'To be right next to the Pandits as they chanted was very powerful,' remarked Dr Morris. He also commented that it was moving to observe the young Maharishi Vedic Pandits, still in training, who looked up to the older Pandits and were looking forward to achieving their more advanced status of knowledge and experience.

Dr Morris and his group also had the chance to witness several times the Vedic Pandits' thrice-daily chant, performed at dawn, noon, and dusk along with their other daily recitations, transcending,** and Yogic Flying.

Of the 1,000 Vedic Pandits already living in the Brahma-Sthan, many are younger students still in the process of completing their education. Dr Morris visited these students with their Acharya, or instructor; the young Pandits would repeat recitations delivered by either the Acharya or senior students. The Pandits go through distinct levels of study, explained Dr Morris, similar to 'grades' in the western world. Usually the students were aged in their mid-to-late teens, but occasionally an adult student—having deciding to leave his previous profession to become a Maharishi Vedic Pandit—would receive training alongside the younger Pandits.

Global Good News will continue featuring Dr Morris's presentation, with more description of the large campus under construction at the Brahma-Sthan of India, in the coming days.

*Brahma-Sthan: Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Global Reconstruction of the Global Country of World Peace, recently explained that 'the centre point of a country has a very special and precious quality of balance and unifying wholeness. In the Vedic language, the central place is called Brahmasthan, and from here, the wholeness of life could be administered according to the Constitution of the Universe, the Will of God, that silently administers the entire ever-expanding galactic universe in perfect order and harmony.
