Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, in his presentation on 28 March, described more features of the large campus currently under construction at the Brahma-Sthan (geographical centre) of India, realizing Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's grand plan to create invincibility for the world from the Global Capital of World Peace.

Dr Morris described the layout of the Maharishi Vedic Pandit campus in the Brahma-Sthan*. The western part of the campus contains finished yellow-white buildings, he said, while on the eastern portion of the campus construction is not yet completed. 'As is characteristic of Maharishi,' said Dr Morris, 'he instructed Dr Girish Varma**, esteemed National Director of India for the Global Country of World Peace, to begin construction of the campus although it was not yet feasible to complete each building.' However, he continued, the whole campus is solidly constructed, and the eastern buildings only need paint, interior electrical fittings, and plumbing before they can house Vedic Pandits. Already, the campus can accommodate 3,000 Pandits, and when all the buildings are completed, will be able to hold 9,000.

Dr Morris went on to show slides of several Mandaps established by Maharishi, which are small, marble-plated, air-conditioned buildings, each intended for five Vedic Pandits performing Vedic recitation. 'Maharishi believed that five was an ideal number of Pandits for successful Vedic recitation,' said Dr Morris.

He also showed slides of the inauguration of Vastu housing for Purusha*** Rajas at the Brahma-Sthan. At this celebration, Maharishi Vedic Pandits performed a special ceremony, and the area was decorated with beautiful trees, flowers, and fruits.

In closing, Dr Morris reflected again on the magical, beautiful quality of the entire Brahma-Sthan area. 'The place is like one huge garden, with giant mango trees everywhere, banyan trees, chickpeas, and wheat. It is filled with wonderful hills and villages painted in a bright blue color.' Although some projects remain unfinished at present, the completeness of Maharishi's vision is evident everywhere, he said.

*Brahma-Sthan: Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Global Reconstruction of the Global Country of World Peace, recently explained that 'the centre point of a country has a very special and precious quality of balance and unifying wholeness. In the Vedic language, the central place is called Brahma-Sthan, and from here, the wholeness of life could be administered according to the Constitution of the Universe, the Will of God, that silently administers the entire ever-expanding galactic universe in perfect order and harmony.

** Dr Girish Varma is Director-General of the Maharishi Capital of World Peace at the Brahma-Sthan of India, Chairman of the 160 Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group, and President of the Maharishi Institutes of Management and Information Technology, in India.

*** Maharishi has explained that Purusha means the Self, the quality of infinite silence of the Unified Field of Natural Law. Maharishi designed the Maharishi Purusha Programme for men who wish to dedicate themselves fulltime to the most rapid pace of evolution and to creating world peace, through extended group practice of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying, and through their administration through silence, fulfilling the goals of the Global Country of World Peace in 192 countries of the world. Several members of Purusha are also Rajas of the Global Country, with universal domain.
