New York benefit concert for David Lynch Foundation opens 'sky of possibilities' for Latin America

Well-known musicians, celebrities, and philanthropists in Latin America expressed deep support for the David Lynch Foundation and its goals following the foundation's historic benefit concert, 'Change Begins Within'. The concert took place 4 April 2009 in New York City, and was headlined by Paul McCartney and other special guests including Ringo Starr.

The effect extended beyond those public figures who actually attended the concert, said Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Invincible Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, on 14 April 2009. Many others, who had already been following and admiring Dr David Lynch for his work, confirmed their support for his foundation's initiatives—such as teaching one million at-risk youth the Transcendental Meditation Programme—during the time surrounding the concert.

'Based on this widespread positive response,' continued Raja Luis, 'there is hope that similar benefit concerts or events for Consciousness-Based Education will develop in Latin America.'

The celebrities and public figures now supporting the David Lynch Foundation are well-loved by all in Latin America, commented Raja Luis, and thus will help expand appreciation for Consciousness-Based Education throughout the continent.

'This concert has opened a sky of possibilities for Latin America,' said Raja Luis in conclusion, 'as well as for the entire world.'
