New associations for Maharishi's programmes started in Spain and Portugal

Building a Maharishi Peace Colony in Madrid is the first project of a new association for Maharishi Vedic Architecture in Spain.

The association was one of three established in Spain and Portugal recently, on the Day of Lasting Achievements—Akshaya Tritiya, the day most auspicious in the Vedic calendar for beginning new projects. All around the world, leaders of Global Country of World Peace started new ventures on this day.

In Spain, the project to build a Peace Colony* in Madrid, the capital of Spain, has been in the works for months. It will include homes, facilities for group practice of Yogic Flying, a Maharishi Invincibility Centre for teaching all the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and offices for the 12 National Directors for Spain of the Global Country of World Peace.

Speaking recently about the new beginnings in his domain, Raja Antonio Bartoleme, Raja of Invincible Spain and Portugal for the Global Country of World Peace, reported that in Spain documents were signed at an auspicious time for the formation of the Association for the Expansion and Promotion of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda . The Peace Colony is the first project in Spain under its auspices.

Documents were also signed creating the legal structure of a company to distribute Maharishi Ayur-Veda Products in Spain. These activities have already started.

Raja Antonio also said that in Portugal documents were signed to establish the organization for all the activities of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme in Portugal.

A Maharishi Invincibility Centre is opening in Lisbon: renovation of the facilities will be completed soon; it is a well-oriented building (according to principles of Vedic Architecture) in a good area of the city.

With the continuing commitment of the Teachers of Transcendental Meditation in Portugal, this was 'the start of a new phase of expansion and a bright future for Portugal and all the Portuguese people,' Raja Antonio said.
