Mother's role in transforming the trends of time: Special programmes of Maharishi Vedic Astrology for ladies and children

Global Good News continues with Dr Ann Crowell's beautiful presentation during the recent Global Mother Divine Organization* Full Moon webcast in May, which featured a rich programme of news and knowledge on the theme: 'Introducing the Specialty of Traditional Astrology for Women', a new aspect of the Maharishi Jyotish and Yagya Programme.

Dr Crowell is a member of the International Board of Maharishi Jyotish for Ladies, and in a lively question and answer format, spoke on 'Mother's role in transforming the trends of time: Gracefully achieving perfection in family life through Maharishi Vedic Astrology and Yagyas'.

Following are several further questions and answers discussed by Dr Crowell:

Q. Is there a special aspect of Vedic Astrology that has particular focus for ladies and girls?

A. 'Yes. Up to a certain age, most of the rules of Vedic Astrology are common for both girls and boys. After a particular age, because of the distinct feature of a woman's physiology and nervous system, certain aspects of Jyotish and Vedic procedures are particularly advised for girls and ladies.

'Again, for mothers and babies, as mentioned earlier there are some special pre-natal and post-natal Vedic procedures that are recommended to develop perfection—by inculcating and strengthening the positive and evolutionary values of Natural Law in the child's consciousness at various stages in the growing-up process. The primary objective is to improve the quality of life before and after the birth.'

Q. Are there some Muhurtas which specially cater to the needs of ladies?

A. 'Yes, there are some Muhurtas** especially for ladies and mothers. Some of them are very important and are highly recommended. They are for conceiving and bearing good and healthy babies, and later for the pre-natal and post-natal Vedic procedures. There are Muhurtas for beginning to feed the baby on foods other than mother's milk, including semi-solid or solid food. Then there is also Muhurta to start cooking in a new house. Other Muhurtas are optional, such as buying and wearing ornaments, wearing new clothes, etc.'

Q. What about our dear children—are there special Yagyas for children?

A. 'Yes. Some Yagyas*** for children are pre-natal and some are post-natal. All pre-natal and some of the post-natal Yagyas and Vedic procedures are recommended for all children; while for some children, depending upon the planetary situation at their time of birth, specific post-natal Yagyas are needed.

'Additionally, the parents can have some Yagyas performed on the birthday of the child, to enhance the evolutionary influence and support of Natural Law for good health, success, and general well-being. Or if, according to the birth chart, some undesirable situation is foreseen, then the parents can have the recommended Yagyas done to neutralize the unfavorable influence of the planets.'
