Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's first gift to Germany was the large numbers of people to whom he taught the Transcendental Meditation Programme when he first came to the country in 1960. Large groups learned the technique in the ten biggest cities.

In 1978 Maharishi trained 2,000 practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme in the centres around the country.

In 1989 came the gift of the unity of Germany, which was produced by the coherence created by the Maharishi Vedic Pandits in India, as well as by large groups of the Maharishi Purusha Programme* and the Mother Divine Programme.**

Speaking on 8 July, during the global assembly celebrating Guru Purnima in MERU, Holland, Raja Emanuel Schiffgens, Raja of Invincible Germany, said that a National Yagya (special Vedic performance) for Germany took place this year, which many Teachers of Transcendental Meditation supported with the wish that Maharishi's plans for Germany would be fulfilled. As a result of this, the city government where they plan to build a Maharishi Vedic University asked, 'When are the Vedic Pandits coming?' They offered support for the Maharishi Tower of Invincibility being built in their city.

This city was the first to accept the Raam, the Global Development Currency, in its treasury and now has an overflowing treasury.

'What we offer today', Raja Emanuel said, is the joy that public support 'will be used in Germany to build the Tower of Invincibility for Germany,' Raja Emanuel said.

'To follow Maharishi's example in Germany,' he expressed 'the dedication of all the Transcendental Meditation Teachers in the field to create the Vedic University, Invincibility Centres, and groups of 200 Yogic Flyers in each of the state capitals in Germany; and to bring Transcendental Meditation to large numbers of people in industry in the largest cities in Germany'—to bring fulfilment to 'Maharishi's great wish for an Invincible Germany'.

* Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has explained that Purusha means the Self, the quality of infinite silence of the Unified Field of Natural Law. Maharishi designed the Maharishi Purusha Programme for men who wish to dedicate themselves fulltime to the most rapid pace of evolution and to creating world peace, through extended group practice of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying; and through their administration through silence, fulfilling the goals of the Global Country of World Peace in 192 countries of the world.

** 'Mother Divine' refers to the nourishing, evolutionary power of Natural Law lively within all of creation and within the silent consciousness of everyone. The Mother Divine Programme, inaugurated in 1981, is an advanced programme to allow ladies the opportunity to deepen their experiences of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programmes and enliven 24-hour bliss in daily life; and to radiate a powerful global influence of harmony and bliss through large, permanent coherence-creating groups, and through inspiring the activities of the Global Mother Divine Organization in 192 countries.
