Creating enlightenment and invincibility for all people: Goals of the Ministry of Religion and Culture

Presenting the achievements, purpose, and intentions of his Ministry at the global Guru Purnima Assembly in MERU, Holland, in July, Dr Christopher Crowell, Minister of Religion and Culture of the Global Country of World Peace, reflected on Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's first impulse in bringing out his knowledge—'the spiritual regeneration of all the people of every tradition and every culture of the world', Dr Crowell said.

'Throughout the unfoldment of Maharishi's knowledge and programmes that have blossomed under his tireless work for more than 50 years,' he continued, 'this theme is the core to bring out the full, divine value of inner life, and to achieve perfection in the outer, Heaven on Earth—a world of peace and harmony for all.'

In this light, Dr Crowell reported, the many and varied projects of this Ministry during the last year have been focussed on achieving enlightenment and invincibility for all people—whether it has been through:

- expanding the number of Teachers of Transcendental Meditation, who have now risen to be National Directors and Founders of Maharishi's organizations and programmes in their countries;

- implementing Maharishi's programme of Vedic Organic Agriculture for greater economic development in less wealthy countries;

- writing, designing, producing, and delivering new packages of knowledge to promote Maharishi's Vedic Science and Technologies of Consciousness in different areas, including health, education, and Maharishi Vedic Astrology; or

- working to establish new Maharishi schools and universities.

All of these initiatives have 'always been with this goal in mind: enlightenment for every person, invincibility for every nation, and unity in the great diversity of all the cultures in the world,' Dr Crowell said.

'Our joy will be when cultures express the Totality of Natural Law, which upholds the infinite expanding universe on the path of evolution into complete harmony, so that all diversity can blossom on the ground of unity.

'Our joy will be when Mother Tongues of every land embody the language of Nature so that every expression of life projects the Cosmic Intelligence of the Veda.

'Our fulfilment will be when religions shine with the Light of God and are a source of inspiration and delight to one another, and perpetuate Heaven on Earth for every generation to come,' Dr Crowell said.
