19 August 2009
Recently at the Maharishi Garden Village in Rendlesham, Suffolk County, England, a festival and banquet were held by the Global Country of World Peace to celebrate mounting support for the country's first Maharishi Peace Palace.
Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace, who led the event, gave an overview of the day's proceedings on 14 August 2009.* 'It was a highly successful celebration,' he commented, announcing that 'with the level of support we now have, we'll soon be able to begin construction on the Peace Palace in Rendlesham.'
The Maharishi Peace Palace will contain at least 30 bedrooms, as well as halls for group practice of Yogic Flying, meeting rooms, and an adjoining Maharishi Ayur-Veda health centre. The new building will contribute greatly to the establishment of invincibility for England, since it will accommodate a significant number of the Yogic Flyers required for the nation's Invincibility Assembly.
To give celebration guests an idea of what the Peace Palace would be like, each of the houses in Maharishi Garden Village in Rendlesham was used to showcase a different one of Maharishi's programmes to be offered within the new facility. Presentations and interactive exhibits included:
- Maharishi Ayur-Veda, - Consciousness-Based Education, - Maharishi Sthapatya Veda (fortune-creating Vedic architecture), - Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems, - Maharishi Jyotish and Yagya, and - the Maharishi Corporate Development Programme.
Also included in the day's events were various children's activities, a raffle, and a Maharishi Gandharva Veda music performance.
The evening banquet featured keynote speeches by Raja Peter; Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace; and Dr Vernon Katz, who worked closely with Maharishi on his translation and commentary on the Bhagavad-Gita, chapters 1-6.** In addition, a scale model of the Maharishi Peace Palace was assembled throughout the banquet event, to represent rising levels of support for the project.
Summing up his account of the celebration, Raja Peter said, 'One can really see how Maharishi's vision of creating Heaven on Earth is manifesting within the community in Rendlesham. The Peace Palace, soon to be built, will utilize every aspect of Maharishi's programmes, and will accommodate individuals who are experiencing the highest levels of consciousness.'
Global Good News will feature the address by Dr Bevan Morris on this occasion in the following days.
