Mongolia's first Teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Programme recently toured several of the country's monasteries, where they discussed similarities between Mongolia's ancient cultural traditions and the knowledge and programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Continuing his report on 5 September 2009,* Raja Tom Stanley, Raja of Invincible Mongolia for the Global Country of World Peace, described more about his recent visit to Mongolia.

At one of the monasteries, Raja Stanley and the group of five new Transcendental Meditation Teachers enjoyed talking with the head Lama and drawing comparisons between traditional Mongolian medicine and Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care.

At another monastery, they learned that the head Lama had met with Maharishi and Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, in the early 1990s. At that time he accompanied Maharaja and dignitaries on a world tour to spread knowledge of Maharishi's programmes. 'This monk was delighted to hear of developments in the Global Country of World Peace since that time,' commented Raja Stanley.

Finally, he reported that Mongolians will soon have the opportunity to participate more deeply in Maharishi's programmes. Plans are being finalized to offer the first course in the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme in the country, for which 45 people have already signed up.

Raja Stanley also mentioned that he hopes to establish a group of the Maharishi Purusha Programme** in Mongolia, based on interest expressed there. 'This would be an extraordinary opportunity to build on the tradition of single Mongolian men devoting their lives to spiritual evolution,' he remarked.

Raja Stanley ended by reflecting on the great openness of the Mongolian people towards the knowledge of Heaven on Earth offered by Maharishi through the blessings of his Master, Guru Dev.***

* Raja Stanley's report was featured on the 5 September Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.

** Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has explained that Purusha means the Self, the quality of infinite silence of the Unified Field of Natural Law. Maharishi designed the Maharishi Purusha Programme for men who wish to dedicate themselves fulltime to the most rapid pace of evolution and to creating world peace, through extended group practice of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying; and through their administration through silence, fulfilling the goals of the Global Country of World Peace in 192 countries of the world.
