Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's historic addresses from 2007 replayed on Victory Day, 28 September 2009

A great highlight of the grand global celebration of Victory Day on 28 September 2009 was the replay of several beautiful, historic addresses by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace—all from Victory Day on 21 October 2007.

In the continuing evening celebration in MERU, Holland on 28 September, audiotapes of two addresses were played on Maharishi Global Family Chat.

In 'Maharishi reflects on his first visit to Canada', he spoke via satellite broadcast to a celebration commemorating the 46th anniversary of his first visit to that nation. Raja Harris Kaplan, Raja of Invincible India and Canada for the Global Country of World Peace, invited Maharishi to address an assembly in British Columbia and locations across Canada, honouring the day when 'the gates of enlightenment first opened for all of Canada'. Maharishi replied by giving his reflections on the early history of his worldwide Transcendental Meditation organization:

'. . . . The whole thing was spontaneous. And when today the Raja of India and Canada, Raja Harris, asked me to recapitulate my landing in Vancouver, I said, ''I never landed.'' I was led on to land. Someone was taking me from here to there to there. This is the secret of transformation of the collective consciousness from year to year, from year to year. . . . We are celebrating the memory of how the transformation took place; and what I have to report to you is that the transformation was brought about by the destiny of the people, that their collective consciousness in one state drew me like a magnet.

'I went there, and the other town drew me, and I went there. I went from place to place, but I, as a single I, was an expression of the collective consciousness of the people—absolutely enjoyable situation, very natural, very simple.'

Another audio replayed from Victory Day in 2007 was Maharishi's address to leaders and members of the Global Country of World Peace in Northern Ireland. The gathering included Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister, Dr John Hagelin, Dr David Lynch, and Dr Andrea Gribben, National Director in Northern Ireland, reporting on progress toward establishing a Maharishi Tower of Invincibility, and other steps of progress to create peace and invincibility through Maharishi's programmes along the Peace Line in Belfast. Everyone enjoyed Maharishi's inspiring comments and expressions of appreciation.

At a different time during Victory Day 2009, the Maharishi Channel also broadcast the video replay of Maharishi's main address during the global celebration of Victory Day 2007, as he inaugurated the ten-day Coronation ceremony of six new Rajas (Administrators) of the Global Country of World Peace. Maharishi commented on the good fortune of celebrating the Coronation beginning on Victory Day, the auspicious day of Vijaya Dashami in the Vedic Calendar:

'. . . . And total blessings for the Coronation of our Rajas—a fortunate thing for us. This is the one thing whereby we are going to establish ''Raam Raj dukh kahu na vyapa''—Let suffering belong to no one. We have the ceremony of Coronation for the Rajas here [in MERU, Holland], in America, and Vedic Pandits are chanting from India. So the whole ceremony is going around the globe.

'Very fortunate to have this on the first day—Vijaya Dashami—Coronation of Rajaraam. This is how we are going to establish a very solid foundation—not only the foundation, but the working of the administration of Natural Law, which involves the whole of the Constitution of the Universe—whole of the Veda.'
