New construction and support for peace-creating Vedic Pandits at centre of India

Newly completed construction at the Global Capital of World Peace in the Brahma-Sthan (geographic centre) of India includes five new homes, each for 40-60 Vedic Pandits, as well as the first Raja residence. Support for establishing a permanent group of at least 8,000 Maharishi Vedic Pandits, creating global peace and invincibility from the centre of India, is growing through four avenues.

Dr Paul Gelderloos, National Director of the Global Country of World Peace in Holland, recently discussed his visit to the Vedic Pandit campuses at the Brahma-Sthan of India.*

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi placed great emphasis on 'continuing, and purifying, and building forth on the Vedic Tradition of India,' Dr Gelderloos said. 'He [gave] a lot attention to Vedic Education—Vedic Education in terms training the Vedic Pandits' in their special peace-creating Vedic performances.

There has also been a tremendous effort to finish construction quickly—with many different construction companies working three shifts to speed completion.

The Brahma-Sthan 'is much more impressive than anything one can imagine [from photographs],' Dr Gelderloos said. 'The whole thing is so completely grand and immense—but especially that it's irreversible, just irreversible.'

Dr Gelderloos described the three campuses, which are in varying stages of development. He showed slides of various buildings, including the first completed Raja residence, as well as Vedic Pandit dining and Yogic Flying halls.

One building suitable for 40-60 Vedic Pandits was completed through support from generous well-wishers in Holland, Dr Gelderloos said. Five such buildings have recently been completed, he added.

From the Brahma-Sthan, the Pandits' performance of Rudrabhishek (peace-creating Vedic performance) is broadcast live via the Internet, radiating a profound influence of coherence and harmony throughout the world, Dr Gelderloos explained.

There are four main avenues of support sought for both construction and maintenance of a permanent group of at least 8,000 Maharishi Vedic Pandits at the Brahma-Sthan, Dr Gelderloos concluded. The first is through very generous well-wishers of peace and invincibility for the world; the second is through Indian communities worldwide who value the peace-creating knowledge and traditions of their home country; the third is through business endeavours specifically for this purpose; and the fourth is through the generosity of practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation Programme around the globe.
