Maharishi University of Management to honour Robert Roth with Doctorate of World Peace

Robert Roth, an illustrious leader of many organizations offering the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the United States and around the world, will be honoured Thursday 12 November 2009, in a special ceremony at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.

During the event, the University will confer on Dr Roth the degree of Doctor of World Peace, Honoris causa, by unanimous approval of the Maharishi University of Management Board of Trustees.

Dr Roth is Vice President of the David Lynch Foundation, and has been instrumental in its successful initiatives to offer the Transcendental Meditation Programme to thousands of at-risk children in schools in the US and many countries. His achievements include the historic 'Change Begins Within' benefit concert at Radio City Music Hall last April, featuring Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and numerous other celebrity performers.

He is also National Director of Expansion of the Global Country of World Peace in the United States, in the administration of Dr John Hagelin,* Raja of Invincible America.

Dr Roth has been a successful Teacher of Transcendental Meditation for four decades, and is the author of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation, an introduction to the Transcendental Meditation programme written in a clear and simple style, which includes reports from doctors, business people, clergy, and students about the technique's beneficial effects.

The diploma will be presented by Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace and President of Maharishi University of Management, and Dr Hagelin.

Dr David Lynch is coming to Fairfield especially for the event, and will also speak at the ceremony.

The ceremony begins at 8:00p.m. in Dalby Hall, Argiro Student Center on the M.U.M. campus.
