Dr Robert Roth awarded Honorary Doctorate of World Peace by Maharishi University of Management

On Thursday, 12 November 2009, Dr Robert Roth, National Director of Expansion for the Global Country of World Peace in the US, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of World Peace from Maharishi University of Management (M.U.M.), Fairfield, Iowa, USA, during a beautiful ceremony* at the university.

The first part of the ceremony featured remarks from Raja John Hagelin, Raja of Invincible America; Dr David Lynch, renowned filmmaker and champion of Consciousness-Based Education; and Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, each of whom honoured the 'vast achievements' of Dr Roth in furthering the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

These speakers lauded Dr Roth—who is also Vice President of the David Lynch Foundation—for his supreme lifelong dedication to Maharishi and the Global Country of World Peace; his unsurpassable energy and enthusiasm; his simplicity and sincerity of purpose; and his overall exemplary nature as a human being.

Among many recent successes of Dr Roth noted in the presentations, highlights included: the brilliant organization of the historic David Lynch Foundation benefit concert, 'Change Begins Within', at Radio City Music Hall in April 2009, featuring Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr; the launching of the American Indian Initiative; and the successful promotion of a new pilot study on ADHD and the Transcendental Meditation Programme earlier this year.

Dr Morris, on behalf of the M.U.M. Board of Trustees, presented Dr Roth with his honorary degree, after which Dr Roth delivered his acceptance speech.
