Progress of Global Capital of World Peace at centre of India: Dr Paul Gelderloos reports on visit

The very large project to create the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahma-Sthan (auspicious centre point) of India has been progressing rapidly over the last several years, realizing the grand vision of of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, that from this one place on earth, peace, prosperity, and invincibility can be created and maintained for the entire world.

The Global Capital is being built to accommodate the daily performance of peace-creating technologies of consciousness, Yogic Flying and Yagyas, by large groups of Maharishi Vedic Pandits, the world peace professionals of India. The project has been developing under the direction of Dr Girish Varma,* Director-General of the Global Capital of World Peace, and National Director of the Global Country of World Peace for India, with the great support of Raja Harris Kaplan, Raja of Invincible India.

The Gelderloos family of Holland has been generously supporting the completion of Vedic Pandit residences and landscaping at the Brahma-Sthan. Dr Paul and Marion Gelderloos recently visited there, hosted by Raja Harris, and Dr Gelderloos gave an inspiring report on their visit and impressions of this new Vedic Pandit campus at the heart of India.

They went to India to see firsthand how the Brahma-Sthan is progressing, and also to review what remains to be done to fulfil Maharishi's enormous gift to the world.

'Just arriving at the first campus where the Vedic Pandits are living and being trained, and where all the administrative buildings are, gave the impression of a small town in itself. Absolutely gorgeously nestled within three small hill ranges, it has a heavenly feeling to it,' Dr Gelderloos said.

They also visited two other very large parts of the campus, one of which is built right around the Brahma-Sthan. Dr Gelderloos described his realization, on seeing the enormous extent of all the construction in progress, that 'Maharishi had started building the whole complex in such a way, that there is no way back.'

Normally one might think of building such a complex campus one building at a time, building after building, he said. But Maharishi had given instructions, Dr Gelderloos explained, 'to start constructing all 200 buildings or so at the same time! With three shifts of several dozen building companies working day and night! All these buildings are finished up to 40 per cent or even 95 per cent. There is just no way back for us—we only can finish it,' he said.

Dr and Mrs Gelderloos were greatly impressed by the quality of all the people there. 'Everybody, the Vedic Pandits, the management, the staff, are all very capable people,' he said.

Dr Gelderloos also reported on Maharishi's design of a nationwide Maharishi Vedic Pandit educational system, starting in many small villages, where very young Vedic Pandits are trained in the first steps of their profession. After graduation from regional training centres, the very best students go to the Brahma-Sthan for performance of the Maharishi Yagya Programme. This plan involves training many thousands of Vedic Pandits throughout India, who will take care of Yagya performances for every nation and for the entire world.

Dr Gelderloos concluded: 'Like everything Maharishi has left us with, this is an absolutely masterly project, that by itself alone, could permanently change the destiny of all mankind for all generations to come.'
