During a global assembly on 3 March 2010, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, continued to reflect on the beautiful, historic address by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on 11 January 2008, in which Maharishi said:

'Live long the world in peace, happiness, prosperity, and freedom from suffering.'

'I think in this message we see, first of all, that Maharishi has set us, and the whole world, the perfect example of total love and benevolence, wishing to the whole world everything good. . . . Maharishi's whole life was for that,' Dr Morris said.*

Maharishi said that day:

'It has been my pleasure at the feet of Guru Dev, to take the light of Guru Dev** and pass it on in my environment.'

'In his humility, he took the light of Guru Dev and put it around; it was a pleasure for him to pass it on in his environment,' Dr Morris commented. 'What an understatement. The world was his environment, and he filled the world with it. This was the sweetness of his humility, in his service to his divine spiritual master, Guru Dev.

'And then his practical planning,' Dr Morris continued, 'not just wishing for the world, but providing to all of us the means to make such a world come faster and faster.

'We know it's coming. Time, Maharishi told us, has already changed, but we have the joy of being, in the light of Maharishi and Guru Dev, the accelerators of that change in the world, and to light the lamp of Totality, morning and evening, for the whole human race.'

On 11 January Maharishi also said:

'Express my delight for all the millennium to come that the world is going to be a happy world. All Glory to Guru Dev. Brahmanand Saraswati Trust is going to take the lighted lamp every morning and every night that is going to come. The future of the world is bright, and that is my delight. Jai Guru Dev.'

'So Maharishi made it perfectly clear to us what to do. He gave us all the means to do it. And he set the perfect example for us of how to function in the world, in that sweetness of simplicity and humility, to just do our work with all the light and with all pleasure and with all knowledge, that the future of the world is bright, and that is delighting Maharishi forever in eternity,' Dr Morris concluded.
