'Maharishi organized [initiatives] in the region, most recently with organic agriculture initiatives in Ukraine,' the article continued. Other initiatives include a Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care training programme, and two spas planned for areas in and near Moscow. Maharishi Ayur-Veda 'is now arguably the most extensive, widely developed preventive health care program in the world'.

Currently the Transcendental Meditation organization in Russia is also focussed on establishing peace-creating groups. Practising Transcendental Meditation and the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme together, a group equal to just the square root of one per cent of Russia's population could have a powerful influence of coherence, harmony, and peace—invincibility—for the whole nation.

They hope to 'duplicate the efforts of the David Lynch Foundation, which has now taught tens of thousands of students, including groups from inner city schools and American Indian reservations in the United States to Catholic schools in Latin America', the article concludes.
