In the United Kingdom, the economy is showing higher growth and manufacturing is growing faster than expected. There are also more jobs available than people without employment.

Also in the United Kingdom, a senior Muslim cleric has issued a 600-page ruling (fatwa) that terrorism and suicide bombing are totally against the teachings of Islam. His extremely detailed scholarly work rules out any extenuating circumstances, and is the first such ruling in Islam.
