USA: 75 architects, builders, and developers master advanced knowledge of Vastu in professionals' training course

A group of 75 architects, builders, developers, and real estate agents from six continents recently completed Phase II of the Vastu Coordinators Training Course. Phase II is for professionals who want to introduce the knowledge of Vastu—Vedic Architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda —in their profession, for the life-supporting benefits it brings to those who live and work in these Fortune-Creating buildings.

This course took place over six days in Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, USA, and covered the two different functions of the Vastu architect and Vastu consultations. Dr Wojtek Skalski,* Deputy Minister of Architecture for the Global Country of World Peace, and one of the course leaders, explained the different services provided in preparing Vastu designs and in implementing Vastu principles through consultations.

Also emphasized during the course was the importance of precision in construction and the role of beauty in Vastu architecture; the selection of proper land for a Vastu project; how to define the true North and East directions through the observation of shadow in the morning and evening; and methods of assuring precision of Vedic measurements during construction.

A group of developers from nearby Fairfield, Iowa, and from Florida, who have won awards for their projects and constructed many homes and buildings according to Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, shared their experience with those who are just starting on Vastu development projects. Subjects included different ways of financing, acquiring land, as well as other concepts such as being 'off the grid', for Maharishi Peace Colonies.**

Dr Skalski also reported that many students and journalists are visiting Maharishi Vedic City and Fairfield, Iowa, because it is the largest community of Vedic 'green' building in the world.
