United Kingdom: Maharishi European Sidhaland celebrates 30th anniversary

At the end of August, celebrations will honour the 30th anniversary of a community in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, England, whose residents include over 300 practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying. The community was named the Maharishi European Sidhaland by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Guests come from many European countries to attend World Peace Assemblies,* Invincibility Assemblies, and other courses to create coherence in collective consciousness.

This grand celebration of Maharishi European Sidhaland will honour the many achievements of the community. 'We'd like to invite guests from all over Europe,' said Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace, announcing the celebration.**

Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, will attend the celebrations, along with Dr Vernon Katz,*** Vedic Scholar and Adjunct Professor of Maharishi Vedic Science at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA; Dr Morgan Francis, renowned poet and former National Director of the Global Country in Wales; and Dr Donn Brennan, a leading physician trained in Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care. The Raj Rajeshwari for the Global Mother Divine Organization in the United Kingdom will also address the celebration.

Raja Peter explained that Maharishi Ayur-Veda Panchakarma (rejuvenation therapy) treatments will be offered during this time at the Maharishi Ayur-Veda Health Centre in Skelmersdale, as well as an Invincibility Assembly, World Peace Assembly, Maharishi Gandharva Veda concerts, 'and other very enjoyable programmes'. He warmly invited everyone to enjoy this grand celebration of the community, its growth and achievements.

* World Peace Assembly and National Invincibility Assemblies: Special in-residence courses designed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for groups of Yogic Flyers to enjoy extended practice of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, to accelerate their own evolution through Maharishi's Technologies of Consciousness, while creating coherence in the collective consciousness of their nation and the world.

*** Dr Vernon Katz holds a PhD from Oxford University and a Doctorate of World Peace from Maharishi European Research University. A Vedic scholar from Great Britain, Dr Katz worked closely with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for a number of years on the translation and editing of Maharishi's commentaries on the Vedic Literature, including those on the Bhagavad-Gita, Chapters 1-6.
