Switzerland: International dignitaries celebrate 50th anniversary of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's first visit

The 50th anniversary of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's first visit to Switzerland was celebrated at the International Capital of Heaven on Earth in Seelisberg, Switzerland on 1 August, the Swiss national day.

Raja Felix Kaegi, Raja of Invincible Switzerland for the Global Country of World Peace, described the celebration and showed beautiful pictures of the events of the day. Guests were welcomed in the foyer of the Sonnenberg hotel and enjoyed alpine horns in the grand Hall of Knowledge.

These are the same alpine horns that heralded the Dawn of the Age of Enlightenment, which Maharishi inaugurated in 1975 in a beautiful celebration on Lake Lucerne in Switzerland, Raja Felix said.

The guests enjoyed a delicious luncheon in the gardens, followed by reflections and wishes offered by the Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, Dr Bevan Morris, as well as several Rajas.

The highlight of the celebration was a series of four short videos of Maharishi from the years in which he was in residence at the International Capital in Seelisberg, Raja Felix said.

Raja Felix commented that when Dr Morris summarized these videos, what became apparent was the extraordinary flow of knowledge and initiatives Maharishi brought out during this time in Seelisberg.

The next day the guests went to see the Rhone Glacier, which Maharishi toured during his first visit to the country in 1960. On the way back they passed by the Brahmasthan—auspicious geographical centre—of Switzerland, where Raja Felix plans to build a Capital of Silent Administration for the country.

A similar event will be held in August or September to accommodate the many people who could not attend this celebration, Raja Felix announced.
