United Kingdom: Major newspaper features Vastu apartment building

The Maharishi Peace Colony, the coherence-creating group of Yogic Flyers in residence at Maharishi Garden Village in Rendlesham, Suffolk, England, now has 50 residential homes and 18 apartments, all built according to Vastu principles of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda architecture. All the planning permissions have been obtained for a Maharishi Peace Palace, and construction is due to start soon. News media have been featuring the Village as a positive development in the region.

One section of Maharishi Garden Village is contained within a Mahavastu, an area that includes several individual Vastu properties and increases the power of the Vastu effect. This makes the whole area 'a very peaceful, powerful place. It's extraordinary, the influence it has on everyone who goes there,' said Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace, speaking recently on the Maharishi Channel.*

Raja Peter reported that the Financial Times, one of Britain's main newspapers, chose a photo of one of the Vastu apartment buildings as a symbol of new development in that whole region of the country—'an example of very desirable new development', Raja Peter said.

All the buildings in Maharishi Garden Village also follow the traditional design and ornamentation of houses in the region, so the designs are appealing to both the local area planners and designers.

Raja Peter explained Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's principle that as Vastu buildings are constructed, 'we are restructuring the collective consciousness, the national consciousness of the country. So it's not just creating ideal living spaces; it's actually restructuring the nation,' Raja Peter said.
