New courses to offer Maharishi's Vedic Science for public; special October assembly scheduled in MERU, Holland

The Global Country of World Peace has announced a new series of courses for the public, as well as a special Assembly in October in MERU, Holland, for people who practise the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programmes.

Courses for the public on Maharishi's Vedic knowledge
A new initiative has been announced to bring courses on Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Vedic knowledge to the public through Maharishi Vedic University (MVU) in Europe, supported by Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, and the Maharishi Vedic universities in India.

Grand Assembly in MERU, Holland—8-17 October 2010
A special nine-day Assembly will be held 8-17 October in the peaceful and serene atmosphere of the International Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in MERU, Holland. The Assembly is for practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying.

Highlights of October Assembly programme in MERU:
∙ Extended practice of Maharishi's technologies of consciousness in a large group. The experience of deep rest over many days during such assemblies results in a profound reduction of accumulated stress and tension, providing a foundation for the unfoldment of higher states of consciousness, inner happiness, and support of Natural Law in all aspects of daily life.

∙ Daily enlightening historic video lectures by Maharishi.

∙ Daily recitations by Maharishi Vedic Pandits in the Brahmasthan (central area) of MERU's Peace Palace, to enliven Natural Law in participants' self-referral awareness.

∙ A course on Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care. (Another Global Good News article will give more details about this course.)

Women are welcome to join a special World Peace Assembly hosted by the Global Mother Divine Organization* in MERU, during the same period.

Those attending the October Assembly will also have the opportunity to enjoy the global celebration on 12 October of the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Global Country of World Peace. The Assembly will culminate on 17 October with the grand celebration of Victory Day. Plans include a memorable seven-mountain cruise on the Rhine River, from Bonn to Linz and back. During the cruise a special video will be played of a historic lecture by Maharishi on life in enlightenment, in higher states of consciousness.

There will also be a Maharishi Gandharva Veda concert during the cruise, featuring renowned musicians Surajit Das (Sitar); Ranajit Sengupta (Sarod) and Shirin Sengupta (Vocal); and Deepti Panicker (Saraswati Veena).
