Concluding the day-long global celebration of the Festival of Lights on 5 November, Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, honoured by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi as First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, addressed the final session in the Golden Dome at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.

Maharaja discussed the significance of Yagyas, Vedic procedures performed by specially trained Maharishi Vedic Pandits of India, including those held earlier that day during Global Country celebrations in India, Holland, and America. He explained that Mahalakshmi, the aspect of Natural Law celebrated on Dipavali, the Festival of Lights, and which is responsible for abundance, wealth, and good fortune, is structured in the human heart.

Maharaja drew an analogy between these Vedic performances and simply wishing someone a wonderful day, or saying 'God bless you'. Even this simple wish does something for others; it uplifts them and structures something in their physiology, he said. It also uplifts one's own heart.

Similarly, Yagyas are specific procedures that allow one's desire or intention, the Sankalp of the Yagya, to be fulfilled; the intention is stated at the beginning of the Yagya. On the Festival of Lights, the intention is to enliven the qualities of affluence, success, and fulfilment in world consciousness.

The achievement of this desire is through Natural Law, Maharaja said, which is awakened by the Yagya process in specific ways. This is not a belief system or a religion, Maharaja said. From Maharishi we have the scientific tradition of knowledge of how to enliven these different aspects of Natural Law that create wholeness and positivity.

Maharaja explained that the Natural Laws responsible for different aspects of life are not something outside of us. Mahalakshmi is seated within us in the structure of our physical heart, which is always giving and giving, he said. The blood is always flowing and nourishing the whole physiology.

Continuing to refer to his discovery, under Maharishi's guidance, of Veda and Vedic Literature in human physiology, Maharaja said that in the genealogy outlined in the Ramayana, one aspect of the Vedic Literature, he found exactly the same number of branches in the family tree as in the structure of veins and arteries in human physiology connected to the heart.

Global Good News will feature the continuation of Maharaja's address in the coming days.
