USA: Latest developments at the Purusha Capital of the Western World

Seven residential buildings, each with 10 suites, are now in place at the Maharishi Purusha Capital of the Western World in West Virginia, USA. The capital, which will soon be home to 63 members of the Maharishi Purusha Programme, recently enjoyed the visit of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, honoured by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi as First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, who came to see the latest progress in its construction.
In 1981 Maharishi designed the Purusha Programme for men who wish to dedicate themselves fulltime to the most rapid pace of evolution and to creating world peace, through extended group practice of Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme.
As administrators of the world from the silent field of Transcendental Consciousness, Maharishi planned for Purusha to live in a beautiful, comfortable home optimally designed for growth to higher states of consciousness* and for raising every nation of the world to peace and invincibility.
In addition to the seven residential buildings at the new development in West Virginia, the dining hall will be constructed in January according to a special design that emphasizes the food coming out quickly and with maximum freshness. To facilitate this the kitchen is placed in the centre of the building, with a dining hall on each side so that meals can be served on both sides simultaneously.
The plan is also to construct course facilities for men and couples to come for periods of extended practice of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in the environment of this unique coherence-creating Purusha group.
* Maharishi explains that beyond the familiar states of waking, dreaming, and sleeping are four higher states of consciousness, each bringing a new dimension of physiological functioning, experience, knowledge, and fulfilment.
