Consciousness-Based Education is being offered at two schools in Bali, with nearly 1,000 students practising the Transcendental Meditation Programme.

Eight hundred students at one school and 120 at a second school are enjoying the benefits of the technique, which scientific research has shown to increase intelligence, learning ability, and academic performance, and to promote increased integration of brain function.

More schools are interested in the programme. 'The culture is just so open to . . . Transcendental Meditation,' commented a teacher of the technique working in Bali. 'It's just so close to the way they live their lives.'

In the coming days Global Good News will continue to report on programmes in Bail.
