New knowledge series celebrates Maharishi's gift of Total Knowledge for Africa

The Invincible Africa Knowledge Series has been created in honour of the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's first visit to Africa. These six inspiring presentations reflect the historic blossoming of knowledge that has spread throughout the continent since Maharishi first brought his technologies of consciousness to Africa 50 years ago, beginning with teaching the Transcendental Meditation Programme to leaders of society in Kenya in 1961.

The new Knowledge Series is being offered this year for the first time through Maharishi Invincibility Centres in many African countries—including Algeria, Botswana, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, South Africa, Togo, Tunisia, and Uganda.

The series features addresses given by Maharishi on five historic occasions from 1975 to 2005. A sixth session features presentations by leading scientists and experts on the application of Maharishi's programmes in Africa, at the Gotabgaa Conference in Washington, DC, USA in June 2010.

In the first of these addresses, in April 1975, Maharishi was celebrating the Inauguration of the Dawn of the Age of Enlightenment for Africa in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

At this time Maharishi was in the midst of a world tour to inaugurate the Dawn of the Age of Enlightenment on every continent. Maharishi undertook this historic global inauguration on the basis of the recent scientific discovery of the Maharishi Effect of reduced crime and other negative trends in cities where one per cent of the population was practising his Transcendental Meditation Programme. 'Through the window of science we see the Dawn of the Age of Enlightenment,' Maharishi said—a new era for the world in which ignorance, suffering, and negativity would disappear and peace, prosperity, and all good would characterize life on earth.

The next two addresses by Maharishi in the Invincible Africa Knowledge Series are from events eight years later, when Maharishi celebrated the Inauguration of the Rising Sunshine of the Age of Enlightenment for Africa—first in Nairobi, Kenya in February 1983, and the following month for the French-speaking nations of Africa in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire.

Maharishi inaugurated the 'Rising Sunshine' on every continent, marking another milestone in the expanding range of application and success of his programmes to bring enlightenment to every individual and permanent peace and invincibility to every nation.

At this time Maharishi was bringing to light the knowledge of the Unified Field of all the Laws of Nature, glimpsed by modern physics, and which is open to direct experience through Transcendental Meditation and can be fully enlivened in individual and national life through the advanced Transcendental Meditation-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying. Maharishi emphasized the establishment of large groups of Yogic Flyers to awaken a powerful influence of coherence, harmony, and peace in the collective consciousness of nations and for the entire world.

Inaugurating the Rising Sunshine of the Age of Enlightenment in Nairobi, Kenya, on 6 February 1983, Maharishi said,

'This is the map of Africa for all the scientists and all the great religious and social and industrial leaders to light the light of enlightenment for every country in Africa, where life will be lived in accord with the total potential of Natural Law, and all the stories of weakness and problems will be the talk of the past, and great success and fulfilment will blossom as the days go by.'
