Rapt audiences in Tanzania and Seychelles inspired by wide application of Maharishi's programmes around the world

During his ongoing 14-country tour of Africa, Dr Bevan Morris, President of Maharishi University of Management, has been presenting news and achievements of a wide range of institutions, programmes, and initiatives created by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi that are transforming life in countries around the world.
There is much to present in the 50-year history of Maharishi's teaching, and these talks often last for several hours, Dr Morris said. An interesting phenomenon has been occurring in each location, however—frequently the audience will remain seated long after the talk has ended.
'You say thank you and goodnight, and nobody moves. This happens all the time; they're really absorbed in' and inspired by all that they have heard. It has occurred again and again throughout Dr Morris's tour in West Africa, southern Africa, and most recently in the East African nations of Uganda, Tanzania, and Seychelles.
About his visit in Tanzania, Dr Morris reported accelerating progress in adoption of Maharishi's technologies of consciousness in the country. A few years back, Dr Ashley Deans, Global Ambassador of Consciousness-Based Education, visited Tanzania and inspired citizens with Maharishi's knowledge.
Now, Dr Morris added, a new Transcendental Meditation teacher is being trained and will return to Tanzania soon to begin instructing people in the technique.
In addition, Dr Morris spoke to educators at a large university in the country, who welcomed further lectures on the Transcendental Meditation Programme and Consciousness-Based Education.
After Tanzania, Dr Morris travelled to Seychelles, where he met with several leaders in the fields of education and health.
He praised the 'extreme physical beauty' of the island nation—adding, however, that right across the street from government education offices is the worst high school in the Seychelles. 'They have tremendous behavioural problems and drug problems, and they don't know what to do.'
Dr Morris hopes that his meeting with prominent educators in Seychelles can help transform the school and others like it. 'No matter how beautiful it is, . . . you need the inner value of life that only Maharishi's technologies can awaken.'
