Self-development programmes for women: Why is the Transcendental Meditation technique so effective?

Most mental practices keep the mind active in some way, on the surface thinking level. The Transcendental Meditation technique allows the mind to effortlessly transcend and experience a deep state of restful alertness known as Transcendental Consciousness, or pure consciousness.

Pure consciousness is an infinite reservoir of intelligence, creativity, and bliss that exists at the subtlest level of our mind, underlying our thoughts, feelings, actions, and behaviour. As we repeatedly transcend and experience pure consciousness, its qualities of energy, intelligence, creativity, and bliss become more and more lively within us.

The many benefits for mind, body, and behaviour that have been shown to result from the practice of the Transcendental Meditation technique are the automatic result of the unique experience of transcending.
