Sweden expands meditation, health, knowledge opportunities for women and girls
Global Women's Organization for Total Knowledge Translate This Article
29 November 2012
The Transcendental Meditation programme for women in Sweden has been expanding opportunities for knowledge and personal development around the country this year, with new teachers and specialists giving courses and consultations in meditation and natural health care, and making outreach to civic leaders and the public.
The organization recently welcomed another teacher of Transcendental Meditation. Anabela Simoes completed her certification training and is teaching classes in the meditation technique in Skåne.
Sweden also now has its first Maharishi VedAroma consultant. Peta Axelsson, a recent graduate of an international course in Latin America, has already given seminars and consultations in Skokloster. In the spring, Ms Axelsson also organized the very successful visit of women's health expert Nancy Lonsdorf, MD, in her region.
A newsletter called TM-News Special for Ladies has published its first issue, featuring several articles that focus on successful professionals. The newsletter aims to make its programmes more widely known among women and girls who practise Transcendental Meditation in Sweden.
In May directors of the organization attended an in-residence coherence-creating assembly of advanced meditators in Skåne and enjoyed meeting participants and discussing projects. The national director, Ingeborg Axner-Franzén, has been inviting civic leaders to learn about opportunities and benefits open to them and to all women.
Global Good News will report more achievements of the Transcendental Meditation programme for women in Sweden.
